Elegant antique late Victorian era jewelry or glove box featuring ornate gilt metal filigree trim and a striking ruched satin interior lining in deep coral-red.

This beautiful decorative storage box has wonderful old-world vanity appeal with intricate repoussé-style metalwork, decorative corner embellishments, and a delicate clasp closure. The elongated form suggests it may originally have been used as a glove box, dresser casket, or jewelry presentation box during the late 19th to early 20th century. The dramatic ruched satin interior gives it incredible romantic Gothic/Victorian styling that displays beautifully on a vanity, shelf, or dressing table.

Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear and patina throughout. Some wear/tarnish to metal trim and age wear to exterior finish consistent with authentic antique use.
