Written by Robbie Trent and illustrated by Margaret Ayer. A beautifully illustrated retelling of the Nativity story featuring warm mid-century artwork and religious themes centered on the birth of Christ.

And It Was So (1958)
Illustrated by beloved artist Tasha Tudor. This gentle children's book introduces the Biblical creation story through Tudor's iconic illustrations and timeless storytelling style.

These books are wonderful examples of mid-century religious children's publishing and would make a lovely addition to a vintage book collection, Tasha Tudor collection, church library, nursery display, homeschool collection, or Christmas decor display.

Condition
Good vintage condition with age-related wear, light discoloration, corner wear, and handling marks consistent with age. There is writing/previous ownership present in the books. All inventory is pre-owned vintage, antique or artisan pieces. These pieces may be unique and hold marks of their previous lives. For instance, we sell many brass or silver pieces and they may show some tarnishing or patina. We do not polish the pieces as we personally love the aging, as many do! We leave it up to the new owner and their preferences for aiming to remove or not. Our goal is to provide accurate descriptions for every listing, with detailed photographs and notations of imperfections. Please review descriptions and photographs before purchasing.
