Fantastic vintage sugar globe table lamp with a textured gray orb shade and minimalist silver-tone metal tripod stand.

Sometimes called a sugar ball, sugar globe or gravel ball lamp, this distinctive style uses a textured plastic/resin globe made from tiny granulated pieces that create its characteristic crystallized surface. When illuminated, the globe transforms from smoky gray to a wonderfully warm golden glow.

The simple spherical form and slender three-legged metal stand give this lamp a great Atomic Age / Space Age / Mid Century Modern look. It is small enough for a bedside table, bookshelf, bar cart or desk while still making a strong sculptural statement.

The globe has a somewhat flexible or slightly squishy feel rather than rigid glass, consistent with the plastic/resin construction found on vintage sugar globe lamps.

Condition:
Good vintage condition and tested working well. The textured globe displays nicely. Silver-tone metal tripod stand has age-related patina and surface wear. Cord, inline switch and plug show age/use consistent with a vintage electrical item. Please review all photos closely for condition.
