Antique German Minerva doll head by Buschow & Beck, complete with its scarce original labeled Minerva Dolls-Heads box.

This early 20th century shoulder head features a painted face with rosy cheeks, finely painted brows and lashes, red lips and brunette hair/wig styled in curls. The open eye sockets would originally have accommodated doll eyes when the head was assembled onto a body.

The front shoulder plate is embossed MINERVA with the company's helmet insignia, while the reverse is embossed GERMANY. The original cardboard box retains its green and cream paper label reading MINERVA Dolls-Heads / Made in Germany, along with its original stock information.

Minerva was a German doll brand associated with Buschow & Beck and is particularly known among antique doll collectors for its durable metal doll heads.

Condition:
Antique condition with age-related surface wear, marks, discoloration and paint loss. There is visible paint loss/chipping along portions of the lower shoulder edge. Hair shows age, flyaways and some disorganization while retaining attractive curls. Eyes are absent. Please review photographs closely, as they form an important part of the condition description.

Includes the original Minerva cardboard box, which shows substantial age and storage wear, including edge wear, bends, tears and losses. Box lid is missing. Original Minerva paper label remains present and legible.

A wonderful surviving German doll component for an antique doll collection, doll restoration display, assemblage collection or cabinet of curiosities.
