Charming vintage 1970s Japanese wooden kokeshi doll featuring an especially sweet little girl with oversized round head, dark brown hair styled in two side buns, and a bright red kimono.

The doll has a wonderfully expressive hand-painted face with large black eyes and tiny red lips. Her dark hair is finished in a deep glossy brown with red-and-white painted accents around each bun. The vivid red body is decorated with small hand-painted floral and leaf motifs.

A particularly fun example of vintage creative-style kokeshi, with a whimsical, almost kawaii character design that makes her especially appealing displayed among other Japanese folk art, vintage dolls or colorful eclectic decor.

Condition:
