Wonderful vintage wooden hanging planter/cachepot with a classic 1970s look. The rounded globe-shaped vessel is finished in avocado green and decorated with repeating stylized floral designs that allow the natural wood tone and grain to show through.

The spherical shape is well suited for sitting inside a macramé or rope plant hanger, a quintessential element of 1970s home decor. The wide top opening can accommodate a small potted houseplant, especially a trailing variety that would look fantastic displayed from a hanging planter.

There is no drainage hole, so this is best used as a cachepot with a separate potted plant placed inside, rather than planting directly into the wooden vessel. It could also be displayed on a tabletop or shelf as a decorative vessel.

Condition: Good vintage condition with visible age-related wear, including scratches, scuffs, finish wear and small areas of paint loss. There is a noticeable horizontal scratch/scuff along one side, along with wear around the upper and lower edges. These signs of age are shown in the photos and add to its authentic vintage character. Please review all photos closely for condition.

For instance, we sell many brass or silver pieces and they may show some tarnishing or patina. We do not polish the pieces as we personally love the aging, as many do! We leave it up to the new owner and their preferences for aiming to remove or not.
