Gorgeous framed glass pressed flower picture by the artist Barbara Carll. Mrs. Carll was born in 1917 (d. 2010) and lived in New Hampshire. She was an elementary teacher, then ran a mail order antique postcard business. Mrs. Carll wrote and published the book entitled, "Growing Up on Butterfield Farm." In addition to all of these accomplishments, she was also an avid gardener and landscaper and perfected the art of the pressed flower. This is one of her pieces, and it is just gorgeous!

It's a beautiful sampling of flowers which stand out under a black background. The picture is matted under an oval shaped, maroon colored matting, and the frame is wood painted with a gold finish. The frame is glassed.

It measures 12.25" long and 10" wide. It is in good vintage condition, the frame has some minor scratches which give it added charm. The picture does come with intact hardware, though it could be tightened a bit. Just slightly loose, but worth mentioning. A very unique piece to add to your home or collection!
