Rare antique DolliGund doll by Gund, dating to the 1930s. This charming early Gund creation features a large soft cloth body, original floral print fabric, and a wonderfully expressive hand-painted face. Her sweet blue eyes, rosy cheeks, long eyelashes, and rosebud mouth give her tremendous personality and display appeal. Dolls from the early DolliGund line are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially larger examples that still retain their original tag and clothing. This doll clearly enjoyed a long life of love and play, resulting in the beautiful timeworn character collectors often appreciate in early cloth dolls. Her cheerful yellow floral fabric, oversized proportions, and painted features make her an outstanding nursery display piece, antique doll collection addition, or early Gund collectible.
