Vintage 1930s carnival prize: large Collie dog statue.
Chalkware figures were given away as carnival prizes from 1910 through the 1950s. Per the seller, this particular piece was won at the Riverview Amusement Park in Chicago. The park was demolished in 1967.
The statue measures 11.25" tall and 6.5" wide.
It shows wear indicative of of its age and chalkware in general. The dog has paint loss and knicks. It displays really well and has lots of shelf life left! A terrific memorabilia piece for a collector or a unique display item.
